    Rabbits are the UKs most neglected companion animal, with this cute design let’s get people talking about rabbit’s needs as a pet.

    This is a very personal design for me having recently rescued 2 rabbits from living in poor conditions and fostering a 3rd.

    Rabbits have complex needs and require a lot of space ( they would run about 5 miles a day), enrichment, and companionship.

    Despite being the third most popular pet in the UK, rabbits are among the most abused and neglected.
    Too many spend miserable lives confined to a hutch, alone and with little or no space to exercise.
    And around 67,000 rabbits a year end up in rescue centres.
    Shockingly, most surrendered after just 3 months.

    Approximately 2,000,000 rabbits are being kept and bred in the backyards of the UK. A new survey suggests three-quarters of them are being badly treated. Made sick from being fed the wrong food and kept in unsuitable cramped conditions, a trip to any large petstore will show you that the pet industry bears a heavy responsibility for this.

    Mistakenly seen as an “easy”pet, bought on a whim or a child’s wish, loved briefly then often left forgotten sitting in a tiny hutch without the proper food.

    Originally rabbits were kept in the UK for ‘food’ in a tiny hutch for a very short period of time, now more commonly kept as pets but still forced to live in these cramped conditions.

    Think carefully before you jump into buying a rabbit they are an 8-12 year commitment, they do not make good ‘starter’ pets, or pets for children, most do not like to be held, they are not toys.

    That said, if you have the time, space and understanding, rescue centres are full to bursting with rabbits needing loving forever homes.

    Can I return an online order to a store?

    An online order can be returned to a BeYours Concept Store for an exchange or refund provided it is:

    • Within 30 days of purchase

    • You have your order number

    • Items are in their original condition, with tags and hygiene stickers still attached.

    • You may return your online order to a BeYours Concept Store for a refund, however, the request will be progressed to our Customer Care Team and will be processed within 5 business days to the original payment method.
